Who is smart and social?
(and very furry too!)
The amazing wolf!

Social Critters
The baby wolves are taken care of by both the older siblings and parents.
Wolves care for their sick or injured companions. Older wolves teach younger ones how to hunt.
Wolves within a pack show friendship
and loyalty to each other.

Alpha Wolves & Packs
Scientists now consider the parents to be the alpha wolves and the pack members are simply their offspring from different breeding seasons -
the pack is the family.

Yep, They're Smart
The hunting skills of wolves are quite impressive. They base their hunting strategies on what their prey is and change their tactics if needed.
And they will learn from experience and past encounters - sometimes us humans don't do that.

Wolves Love to Play
Both pups and adults like to play!
They enjoy games of chase and tug of war. They get the zoomies. Wolves will bump and leap on each other.
If they are playing alone, they will flip sticks or other objects.

Great Communicators
Wolves howl - but not at the moon.
Howling is a form of communication.
They howl to gather in other wolves, find others who may be missing, sometimes to their own pack members out of affection for each other.
