Tapping into
the Knowledge
of Indigenous Peoples

I am keeping this one simple.

The United Nations Development Programme put it concisely and perfectly in their website.
I feel it says it all and does far more justice
to explaining it than I ever could
...

Many Indigenous traditional practices are rooted in a deep understanding of and respect for ecological systems and promote sustainable resource use. These practices have a minimal impact on the environment and are highly adaptive to ecological changes, fostering healthy and resilient ecosystems ...

Now more than ever, as the climate crisis intensifies, their knowledge and practices offer valuable climate solutions that can advance mitigation efforts, enhance adaptation strategies and build resilience."

Many are recognizing that the knowledge of indigenous peoples is of great value in addressing the issues of climate change and damage
to nature and are using their wisdom
to make our world better now
and for the future too. That in itself is hope!!!
