A talent to behold!

Geese can run on water
when taking off!

Simply one of so many amazing things you see in nature!

This is a brief one! It is simply a curious thing

I observe while taking pictures of geese.

They run on the water when taking flight

from water and this simply amazes me!

I have tried to find information on the physics behind how it works - how they don't fall

into the water - but I have not yet

found anything. So I will just enjoy watching their impressive take-offs when I see them

on our local ponds without trying to

figure how they do it.

 

However, there is a thought swirling

through my brain that the shape of their feet and the speed of their wing flapping have something to do with it.

 

I have been fortunate to catch this

awesome skill of the geese in some of

my photos. Take a moment to be entertained and intrigued ...
